Founded by an author, for authors
Authoright was founded in 2007 by an author who wanted to help other authors. The publishing industry has changed irrevocably in recent years, but our ethos has remained the same since our inception: empowering and inspiring new authors whilst helping them to make their publishing dreams a reality.
The pioneers of hybrid publishing
Authoright takes what it sees as the best bits of traditional publishing and combines them with the advantages of self publishing. We were the ones to coin the term ‘hybrid publishing’ — and we have been the leading company in this area since 2009.
Authoright has worked with over 3,000 writers. Authors from all routes to publication come to us for help with their editing, book cover design, website development, branding, bespoke self publishing, social media, marketing and publicity.
As well as working with individual authors, we work across the publishing industry — with literary agents, traditional publishers, self publishing platforms and writing communities — sharing our knowledge and expertise so that everyone working with books can offer their authors the services and opportunities they really need.
Above all else, Authoright exists so that writers have someone to talk to. If you think we can help you, just drop us a line.
Drop Us A LineTrusted by the industry
Over the years, major brands in the global publishing industry have come to Authoright for our expertise and experience. When the London Book Fair wanted to create their first ever area for authors, they partnered with us to build it for them. We brought Goodreads to the UK for the first time, just as it was acquired by Amazon. When Californian publisher Blurb wanted to partner with a team that knew how to work with authors on a personal level, they approached us. Over the years we have partnered with some of the best in publishing from HarperCollins to the world’s largest book fair — Frankfurter Buchmesse.
Supporting the next generation of publishers
Authoright is active within the wider publishing industry and, in particular, supportive of graduates entering an industry that is in a constant but exciting state of flux. Members of the team are often called on to give guest lectures and talks, including at:
